2025 US Coffee Championship Regional Host Cities Announced

Last month, the U.S. Coffee Championship Leadership Committee announced that the 2025 season would see some format changes, the biggest of which was the return of the Regional Qualifying Competition structure. Previous seasons featured three different rounds of competition, but in an effort to boost accessibility and cover the overall costs of competing, the recent structure was reduced to just two: a regional event and a national event.

At the time of the announcement, host locations had not yet been determined, and SCA was looking for partners willing to host at least one event in each of the three regions. And now, the host locations for the 2025 Regional Qualifier for the US Coffee Championships have been revealed.

The host cities and dates announced on Instagram are as follows:

Western Region

Portland, OR (November 21-24): Roasters Championships – Mark Spencer Hotel
Las Vegas, NV (January 17-19): Brewers Cup – Radiant Coffee

Central Region

Houston, Texas (October 31-November 3): Roasters Championships – RoasTronix
Lincoln, NE (November 8-10): Latte Art — Zen Coffee Co
Kansas City, MO (December 6-8): Barista Championship, Brewers Cup, Coffee at Dobry Napoju — Messenger Coffee/The Roasterie

Eastern Region

Westchester, PA (October 25-27): Coffee in a good mood – Lavazza
Raleigh, North Carolina (November 15-17): Barista Championship, Brewers Cup – Black & White Coffee Roasters

Absent from the Regional Qualifiers is the Cup Tasters, which will not have a qualifying round this year and will instead have open registration for the Nationals. Other than the Brewers Cup, no competition will have three regional events this year. This is due to the lack of a host location for these competitions in regions where they do not appear. The SCA states that it will release a full transparency report on the host selection this Friday, September 13th.

With just over a month to go until the first regional event, competitor registration officially opens on Friday, September 27.
