My Sincere Opinion on Coffee Haus – Observer

Hey everyone! Today I’m reviewing Coffee Haus, a coffee shop based in Illinois. They have locations in Schaumburg and South Elgin, but the location I went to was their South Elgin location. I went on a weekday, which is great because I can walk into the coffee shop freely. Once I entered the coffee shop, I was greeted by nice, calming music, but also the unique aesthetic of the coffee shop. The employees were very nice and took my order very well.

Once I got my order, I sat down on one of their couches that they have and it was comfortable to sit on. I had to wait about 20 minutes for my order so I was patient and in the meantime I sat down at one of the tables. Once I got my order, I sat down at a table that has a bench on one side with a cushion next to it. I was amazed at the presentation of their waffles because they were neat and attractive to look at. The waffles have three scoops of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and a little bit of caramel all over the plate.

When I took a bite of the vanilla ice cream and waffles, I was surprised at how good these waffles were. I thought the waffles would be demanding and dense, but they were actually crunchy and humid, which I like. I like how they spread the ice cream on the waffles because it adds a nice, creamy texture to the mouth, and the waffles also sink into the ice cream really well. I also like the caramel topping and the whipped cream, so it adds a nice touch to the waffles. As for the cookies and cream drink, it was delicious. It has a powerful cookies and cream flavor, but the brown sugar jelly pieces also add a unique texture to the drink. I would give the vanilla ice cream and waffles a 9.5/10, and the cookies and cream drink an 8/10.

Overall the coffee shop was amazing because it is completely different from your average coffee shop because they have an Asian themed menu but also the seating is unique. The best thing about Coffee Haus is that their menu is hand written but they also have signs with their opening hours throughout the shop. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to step outside the box and try something modern.
