Ready to drink: pressure-ready Klatch Coffee

Ready to drink is ready to go in 2025, and we kick off this year’s edition of the Feature series with a look at the up-to-date espresso of socal-ready specialist favorites Klatch Coffee. This tasty eight-ounce RTD is built from scratch by Klatch and offers a tasty espresso-like option for SPRO on the go. To find out more, we chatted with the team at Klatch-and be sure to tune in for the next episode of The Coffee Sprudgecast where we’ll be sampling espresso-to-go live on the pod!

Tell us a little about coffee!

The bean blend we used to make the espresso is different from any of our current espresso offerings. However, if you like other Klatch espressos, such as WBC or House, you will probably enjoy espresso! It contains notes of chocolate, orange and vanilla that work wonderfully in both balmy and chilly drinks.

How long have you been working on this project?

Ready-to-drink/ready-to-use products (including refrigerated chilly and more) have been tested and discussed for many years at Klatch Coffee. Specifically for ready-to-use espresso, development took about a year to bring to market once the trigger was pulled. We tested and rejected as unsatisfactory several concepts that didn’t make the cut, including bottled chilly brew, flask chilly brew, and other concepts.

Klatch Coffee Rtd 02

Do you have future RTD products in development?

There is no company at the moment, but we are constantly testing and developing up-to-date coffees, meeting up-to-date producers and looking for up-to-date ways to share our passion for specialty coffee. We continue to experiment and iterate: the ready-to-express espresso is the first to meet our taste and quality standards.

Final thoughts on the RTD category?

Younger people are increasingly looking for alternative drink options. Alcohol consumption is failing and so are carbonated drinks. Up-to-date and growing categories include recipes, sparkling waters… and of course Klatch is delighted with the growing interest in specialty coffee in ready-to-use/ready-to-use formats. We think this is the perfect entry point for those who may not be ready to invest in an espresso machine at home but still want to enjoy cafe-quality drinks. More sophisticated coffee consumers who have their own specialized equipment will also value convenience on some days, while choosing their own Klatch coffee on other days as time allows. We are delighted to be able to offer them this choice.

Thank you.
