This is our last construction function for the 2025 series and to close the things we are going to-where else?-Ljubljana City, which is home for the impressive novel brutalist coffee bar called Strict (stylized as). It was a particularly moving and wonderful edition of the coffee structure, but don’t worry-we’ll make our annual “Analytics of Autumn” post on the coming days. But for now Slovenia encourages.
For those who are not familiar, will you tell us about your company?
Our newly open .store Cafe is an inspiration, a cafe and a concept store. It is an extension of our brand and marketing studio called. RAW.
Can you tell us about a novel space?
Located in the heart of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and re -defines the concept of a specialized cafe. Combining a brutal design with a multidisciplinary approach, this hybrid place has a cafe, a gallery, a concept store and a design studio.
The project is the idea of designers Rob Svenšek and Tamir Potokar, who imagined. Rural as a see-through and open environment in which creativity can be both perceived and experienced. The space wrapped in glass walls invites passers -by to watch the team in action. Meanwhile, visitors are encouraged to enter the neighboring store from the gallery, in which selected goods and own goods of the studio are a concrete connection with the brand.
At the base of the law, the inspiration from the brutal architecture is known from unrefined materials and functional aesthetics. The design of the space has exposed concrete ceilings and floors, coarse marble displays and elegant metal pillars. The undressed interiors celebrate imperfections and emphasize the beauty of natural materials, perfectly adapting to commitment. The law in authenticity and craftsmanship.
The founders describe. Raw as a “open kitchen”, an appropriate metaphor for space that develops on transparency and cooperation. The design process is fully displayed, creating a unique intersection of work, community and trade.
Since Lublana is still set as a design city, Rraw offers a fresh look at how original spaces can serve both professionals and a wider community. Mixing brutalistic aesthetics with an emphasis on craftsmanship and community, this space can become a meeting place for creation and an inspiration center.
What is your coffee approach?
We get and bake our own coffee. We currently have coffee with Nestor Lasso (Colombia) on the filter and Las Perlitas on Espresso.
Any machines, coffee, special equipment set up?
Mini mini marzoccoIN Arco coffee grinder and Dying from goat history for the filter.
How does your project consider sustainable development?
We care about a good project, which is why quality is the highest form of sustainable development. In general, we exploit compostable take -out cups and encourage people to spend time and rather drink coffee in our space from reusable ceramic cups. We sore our waste and we made the space very low energy.
What is your hope for the opening date/month?
We opened in March 2025.
Do you work with craftsmen, architects and/or creators you would like to mention?
All products that we sell in the store, from the cups to the stones we used, are obtained locally. We are their designers, but we exploit a local craftsman to support.
Thank you!
Thanks!
