The San Diego Coffee World the event calendar is filling up! Onsite and off-site, the inaugural US World of Coffee née Expo will be jam-packed with attractions to keep you caffeinated throughout the extended weekend. And of course, your friends at Sprudge will have a comprehensive compendium of everything happening here in the near future, so keep an eye out for that.
But if you’re looking for an event that isn’t really an event but is an event and that you’ll also remember, look no further than Legendary coffee exchange. The Cafe import Mega Coffee Swap is back and with it a chance to win a brand novel coffee machine.
The legendary Coffee Exchange, which started in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic when people had to stay at home, was created so that roasters could connect and taste coffee together (online). The event was so popular that even after the restrictions were lifted, the Stock Exchange remained open. Now on its fifth in-person installation, Cafe Imports knows well enough not to mess with a good thing, and Legendary Coffee Exchange maintains what made it so great in the first place.
It works this way. Roasters are bringing their roast of choice – preferably 8-16 ounces of single-origin coffee – along with two business cards to be delivered on Friday or Saturday, April 10vol and 11volat the Cafe Imports booth (#3140). The coffee and one of the business cards will be given to your exchange partner, whose coffee and business card will be given to you; Cafe Imports makes it all effortless. Then, after the WoC, you and your exchange buddy will take some coffee home to brew and set up a time to talk and discuss together, and maybe even organize virtual bubbles together. The rest is up to you!
The second business card will be drawn and will have a chance to win Fellow Espresso Series 1 coffee machine. The winner will be randomly selected live on Instagram on April 12 at 10:00vol and will leave WoC with their novel equipment.
And as always, participation in the Legendary Coffee Exchange is completely free. You can reserve your place via Eventbrite, which is possible Here. Or you can just show up with a coffee and a few business cards (if you don’t have business cards, Cafe Imports will have paper on hand for you to write down your details on) and get a tan at the booth.
