A coffee gift that will sultry up the atmosphere…
A stunning appearance on the counter and a cordial price are just two of the reasons why it’s worth giving a gift Hario V60 Vacuum insulated metal server this season. But the main reason is to keep the coffee sultry. Whether brewing in pourers or in a coffee machine with a glass jug, there is always the fear that that little bit of excess will remain after it cools. Not any more. It comes in two sizes, black or white. — Liz Clayton, Sprudge editor
A gift in the form of coffee that will encourage you to organize…
When it comes to my home café, I’m all about functionality and aesthetics. I’d love to add these two to the bar: a customizable filter holder AND Kinto serving tray (combined with a cup and a jug in the same SEPI Collection). — Jenn Chen, Sprudge Editor-in-Chief
Hand-blown coffee gift…
Chemex is an iconic coffee machine that, thanks to thicker paper filters, is able to extract the purest flavors from the pourer. (It may also be a Finnish beast, but that’s part of the fun.) My favorite of their lineup is definitely this one Hand-blown series. While the customary Chemex is certainly cheaper, lighter, and has more color options, the feel and added weight of the Handblown series elevates the entire coffee-making experience. —Zac Cadwalader, Sprudge Editor-in-Chief
A coffee gift to ease the situation…
Although I pride myself on being an unrefined brewer, avoiding stupid gadgets and overly complicated recipes, Melodrip it’s a staple in my everyday beer brewing. Essentially a dispersion strainer on a stick, Melodrip helps control mixing levels, promoting consistent brewing and results – day after day. —Zac Cadwalader, Sprudge Editor-in-Chief
Coffee gift for a Black Sabbath fan…
I assume that anything that comes from my heart must include Black Sabbath, so I recommend this “Master of Reality” from the official Black Sabbath store. Then you should place one of them Origami drips on top…in black, of course! – Robyn Brems, Sprudge Partnerships Manager
A coffee gift that goes beyond the bean…
What if the sweetest gift you could get this holiday season helped preserve the beans we know and love? Maybe it’s worth trying cascara, the dried outer fruit of the coffee cherry. It’s high in caffeine and antioxidants and doesn’t require beans like me and Buzzy to be crushed, mashed and stewed in boiling water. Consider cascara as an alternative during the holiday season; Momentum now has delicious cascara. – Spesh L. Tee, Sprudge Spokesbean
A coffee gift for a milinophile…
I love Go get the Em Tiger Fetco Dad Hat. It’s fashionable, comfortable, and proudly tells the world, “I’m a complete and utter enough coffee idiot to get the public excited about this little-known brewing device.” There’s a postmodern malaise that irritates me. This is my favorite coffee product and if you’re shopping for someone who is just a die-hard, incorrigible coffee freak, they’ll love it. —Jordan Michelman, co-founder of Sprudge
A coffee gift for those who enjoy…
This little coffee spoon Planetary projects it is extremely pleasant to apply. Something about the weight and design of the item fits perfectly in the hand. Every step of the coffee-making process is enjoyable, so don’t miss your measuring cup. This is perfect. —Jordan Michelman, co-founder of Sprudge
Coffee gift for particle size queens…
I’ve thought about this a lot and all I want for Christmas this year is: Kruve brewed coffee set ($172.96 $137.96). The Kruve sifter isn’t fresh, it won a Sprudgie Award in 2017 for Best Novel Product, but here in 2023 I didn’t want it anymore. Why? As a gay man, I have been using the grinder for years, with mixed results. When I get to 40, I really want to figure this out and understand it. I want to determine what the “5” setting actually means for 20-year-old Cuisinart Chad. I want to sift my way to even sanding with the Buzz blade grinder. I want to convince a stranger that you can get a delicious brew by grinding coffee with the consistency of “beach sand” (how many microns are we really talking about?). Can a set of sieves and a metal ruler really do all this and more? Contact us after the holidays! —Zachary Carlsen, co-founder of Sprudge
A coffee gift that isn’t coffee…
For the 2023 holiday season, I recommend you try a cup of good tea. Tea is delicious, and what’s more, coffee lovers should think about the impact that grinding, brewing and dripping it has on the bean community. Beans deserve so much more and I think it’s time we recognized that. Check out Rishi tea to enjoy great teas and support your fellow beans this festive season. – Buzzy The Bean, Sprudge Spokesbean
