World of Coffee launches today in San Diego and there are so many things, too many to keep track of them all. But try me anyway. And our friends at Califia Farms are certainly committed to that goal. They’re packed with fireworks, suspensions, knockdowns, art activations, and all kinds of fun both inside and outside the convention center throughout the weekend.

CALIFIA FARMS LATTE ART THROW AWAY – Friday 4/10 | 12:00 – 15:00
Espresso State of Mind is partnering with Califia Farms to host a live Latte Art Throwdown for 32 people on April 10, right on the exhibit floor at Califia booth #4052
Our gig is officially set – the bracket is full and we have an amazing group of baristas ready to go. Stop by the stand, take a seat and come see what they can do. It will be great fun, high energy and a great chance to support the community and see some sedate talent in action.
KAWA CHANCES – LATTE ART OUTSTANDING – Friday 4/10 | 18:00-20:00
Join us right after the concert at Chances Coffee and take part in the latte art ladder in one elimination for 30 baristas. This fun, high-energy competition brings the community together for some warm competition and good vibes before heading into the opening party. Come support the baristas, connect with your industry friends and start the evening the right way. It is located across the street from the LaFayette Hotel.

CALIFIA FARMS WORLD OF COFFEE NIGHT OPENING PARTY – FRIDAY 4/10 | 20:00 – MIDNIGHT
We’re starting things off the right way at Lou Lou’s Jungle Room – and you’re invited. The goal of the opening night is to bring the coffee community together with great music, drinks and the electric energy on the first night that you can only get at World of Coffee. Come, meet up-to-date faces, renew contacts with senior ones and celebrate an unforgettable weekend.
For the party we will have:
- The first 50 guests will receive a Califia goodie bag
- Dyeing station for 150 guests on the patio
- Live music from Shuffle & Bang (5-piece band combining reggae, ska, dub and jazz)
- Recommended espresso martini cocktail, wine and beer
- The bar is open until 10 p.m

LONGPLAY HI FI x CALIFIA FARMS: ART GALLERY OPENING RECEPTION – SATURDAY 4/11 | 19:00-23:00
Hosted by Longplay Hi-Fi and sponsored by Califia Farms, this Exhibition Opening Reception is an evening cultural event kicking off World of Coffee. From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., guests can enjoy a selected menu and bar program, as well as a live DJ performance, all in Longplay’s signature sound space. The evening will also feature a sponsored art exhibition that will be on display for 90 days, and the first 25 California Passport guests will receive a restricted edition serigraph from the San Diego Printmaking Society – combining coffee, music and art in one unforgettable evening.
TORI Cafe – LATTE ART THROW – SUNDAY 4/12 | 17:00-19:00
Join us at Tori Cafe after the World of Coffee show for a laid-back, high-energy 16-step experience hosted by Tori and sponsored by Califia Farms. It’s the perfect place to unwind, spend time with the community and take part in some warm competitions – plus prizes, food and drinks to make your evening even more enjoyable.
