Friends and family ask us where to buy coffee. This is a challenging question! It’s simple to lose track of the amount of amazing, fresh and dynamic coffees. Every week we ask our advertising partners to recommend the coffees they like best. Here’s a collection of the most captivating whole bean coffees available this week from talented roasters around the world.
Equatorial coffees Our head roaster Michelle’s annual favorite is Equator coffee, available exclusively from Honduran producer Anibal Pineda. SL28 is a coffee variety eminent for its intense sweetness. Our delicate roast this year aims to highlight its subtle florality for a refined final cup, resulting in notes of elderberry, dates and spices. | $24/12oz |

Stumptown Coffee Roasters Incredibly elaborate, yet very approachable, we are ecstatic to welcome the modern Colombia Huayku variety to the menu. This year’s offering is pure harmony with lush notes of syrupy black cherry, wealthy gloomy chocolate and buttery toffee. | $25/10.5oz |
Coffee with a plan We taste: blueberries, chamomile, chocolate, dried fruits – early last year we visited our friend and long-time sourcing partner Ture Waji, founder of Sookoo Coffee in Ethiopia. Operating in remote areas of Uraga district in Guja, Ture travels to many kebeles to collect coffee cherries for processing at drying stations. Sookoo processed this coffee in its main drying plant on the outskirts of Haro Wachu village. | $23.50/10oz |
La Barba coffee Jairo Arcili’s Yellow Sudan Rume is clamorous, with heady aromas of grape bubblegum and fresh lemonade. However, this coffee is elaborate and contains much more than can be captured in a few flavor notes, with an overall richness that lingers, making it enjoyable throughout and not overpowering. | $34/12oz |
Partner Coffee This fully washed selection comes from Suke Quto, our longest operating farm in Ethiopia. Tesfaye Bekele founded the farm in 2000 as part of a forest conservation project, and it has since become a model for sustainable coffee farming. A unique representation of Guji coffee, we taste layers of peach, lemon and lime, orange blossom and caramel. | $26/12oz |
Verve Coffee Roasters Wilder combines Colombian coffees inoculated with yeast with washed Ethiopian heritage to enhance sweetness and enhance flavors without losing structure. Designed with a clear sensory purpose in mind, the blend balances the intensity derived from fermentation with clarity and intention, resulting in a cup that is bold, expressive and intentionally memorable. | $28/12oz |
Phil and Sebastian Washed Gesha from Benjamin Paz, bred on his La Salsa farm. | CAD 45/100g |
Mr. Espresso Surrounded by the sights and smells of the Neapolitan region in his youth, Carlo Di Ruocco decided to master the art of roasting and mixing the classic espresso true to this region. Today, Neapolitan Espresso combines as many as eight coffees from different origins, each roasted separately. Using conventional wood burning methods reduces acidity and increases sweetness, which is a characteristic feature of Italian espresso. The result is deep, elaborate and balanced. | $16/12oz |

Umbria Coffee This mixture was created to blend in a unique way with the sweet properties of milk and cream. With a resonant body and deep fruity acidity, this coffee retains its structure when sipped con latte. Taste molasses, pecan and banana notes in this Golden Bean North America award-winning coffee. We love this blend for its versatility, so brew it in the style you like. | $16/12oz |
Onyks Coffee Laboratory This natural plot of land from Elshadai Estate in Kiambu County could mark the farm’s last harvest as rising land values near Nairobi threaten its future. Discovered by Kenyan coffee specialist Judy Murimi, the coffee underwent approximately two days of anaerobic fermentation and then was dried on raised beds. With its layered sweetness and fine fruit complexity, it offers a fascinating profile while paying homage to the disappearing coffee landscape. | $27/10oz |
Portland Coffee Roasters Bridge Blend is a balanced 50/50 blend of coffees from Ethiopia and Peru. The Ethiopian component comes from Tega and Tula. This washed batch of Tega & Tula uses hand-picked cherries that are fermented for approximately 60 hours and sun-dried in raised beds.
