Panama Gesha breaks price records (again)

Stop me if you have already heard it, but Panama Gesh has just set a record price at the auction. It was part 2025 best of Panama online auctionbringing a stunning $ 30,204 per kilo or $ 13,705 per pound.

As reported WrapThe victorious plot was the washed gesha from the eminent Hacienda la Esmeralda In Boquet, chiriquí. The total 20 kg batch was purchased by one buyer, Julith Coffee In Dubai for just below $ 605,000. Julith opened his Al Quoz cafe until last week, and their first post on Instagram It was only eight weeks ago. One of the people behind Julit is Serkan SağsözThe boss of the brand and the three -time Turkish barista champion, as well as the Turkish steam champion.

The auction took place on August 6 and 7, and the topic was “Terroir canvas”.

In total, 549 offers for the washed Gesh were made, which scored a stunning 98 points. But it was not the only coffee that reached tens of thousands as a pound. Natural processed Gesha, also from Hacienda La Esmeralda, who scored 97 points and earned $ 23,608 per kilo per plot of 20 kg. Despite the sale for almost USD 7,000 less a kilo, the natural Gesha had almost five times more offers made by the winning washed Gesha.

From 40 Gesha plots on the Pracha 2025 28 perfection cup, it reached a price above USD 1000 per kilo. 10 reached a 1000 USD mark per pound. In total, the auction brought $ 2.8 million, with an average price of USD 2,861 per kilo.

Per Upi Rachel Peterson from Hacienda La Esmeralda said that the result was “recognizing the effort of our team and dedication to Panama in cultivating perfection.” Meanwhile, President Panama José Raúl Mulino congratulations to the producers, saying that the auction “puts Panama in a privileged position among the most demanding consumers in the world.”

(Only a quick reminder that there is no “I” in Gesha. The insidious arguments for the lack of apply of the correct spelling are related to recognizing the names and a relationship with incorrect spelling. But at the moment when Panama Gesha breaks records every year, the argument degrades pure stubbornness. In any case, it’s Gesha.)
