Regular consumption of coffee associated with hearty aging in women

Recently, there have been several studies showing that regular coffee consumption is associated with better aging, a smaller number of fragility and generally better health at later stages of life. There is a extensive up-to-date study that focuses in particular on the effects of coffee consumption on women as aged. It turns out that drinking coffee is still beneficial.

As reported Medical newsThe latest arrangements were presented at the weekend of Nutrition 2025The American Society for NutritionFlagship annual meeting. Leaded by Dr. Sara Mahdavi, a sub -commercial student at Harvard University and assistant professor at the University of Toronto, the results were based on data from the health of nurses, following over 47,000 women within 30 years. During the study, participants were asked to fill the approved food questionnaires to determine their level of caffeine consumption, as well as sources.

After taking into account other factors that may affect health, including “body weight, smoking, alcohol consumption, physical activity, level of education and protein in the diet”, people were assessed in terms of hearty aging, which is described as “life at the age of 70 or older, being free from 11 main chronic diseases, maintaining physical functions, having good mental health, without showing knowledge of knowledge and not demonstrating the impairment No complaints of memory. “

Of the 3706 women who met these requirements, they all consumed 315 mg of caffeine per day in an average period of life (aged 45 to 60), and over 80% of them come from coffee. In particular, they discovered that every additional cup of coffee a day was associated with an augment in hearty aging by 2-5%, to five miniature, eight ounces or 2.5 immense cups. Meanwhile, Soda, another main source of caffeine, was associated with a decline by 20-26% of hearty aging changes to a portion.

District coffee and tea were not associated with hearty aging in any significant way.

These discoveries suggest that caffeine coffee has some keys for hearty aging in women. But the relationship between health and caffeine coffee is sophisticated, especially for middle -aged women. Dr. Mahdavi says CNN The fact that women undergo menopause that are pregnant or using oral contraception experience hormonal passages that can affect the way the body processes caffeine. For example, estrogen “inhibits a liver enzyme, which is crucial for caffeine breaking.”

Despite this, the examination is only observational, which means that no causal connections between coffee consumption and better aging can be determined. But this increases the excess of circumstantial evidence that coffee is beneficial to health, no matter how you cut it.
