Like the season itself, Sabrina’s Summer has entered fall territory and shows no signs of stopping. The espresso singer and ice cream collaborator was recently nominated in almost every Grammy category known to manand now it’s the inspiration for this week’s coffee pop-up in Los Angeles. Short n’ Sweet Cafe by Sabrina Carpenter takes control Verve Coffeein West Hollywood, with plenty of Sabrina-inspired drinks and merchandise.
As reported Los Angeles eaterthe pop-up is part of the company’s initiative Cash app and will have a completely renovated space, decorated in the tones of Carpenter’s breakthrough album, Tiny n’ Sweet. Based on previous installations of the Tiny n’ Sweet café – at ul Partner Coffee IN New York AND Have a nice Monday in Chicago — visitors can expect lots of featherlight blue, tons of hearts and images of Carpenter, and a love chair that looks like a giant pair of glowing red lips.
The drink menu includes references to the albums, such as the Dumb & Poetic Latte with lavender, honey, oat milk and, of course, espresso. There’s also Common Sense Chai – a reference to the Coincidence lyric – which can be served sizzling or icy, with or without espresso, and with a seasonally appropriate pumpkin-flavored variety. There’s also Butterfly Boba Matcha, which I’m told is a nod to this dish Carpenter’s signature “butterfly hairstyle” it is a mixture of strawberry boba pearls, strawberry syrup, ceremonial matcha and frozen milk (tasteless for me).
The pop-up will also feature T-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, mugs and socks, all with a Sabrina meets coffee theme. As part of the promotion, anyone who uses the Cash App Visa card will receive a 30% discount on purchases up to $40.
Everything will happen from Friday to Sunday, November 15 to 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Verve’s West Hollywood location at 8925 Melrose Avenue. And while you’re waiting in line to get into Los Angeles’ hottest pop-up, take a moment to appreciate the pop song that’s teaching the world how to properly spell “espresso.”
