For just over a month now, SCA has been slowly announcing the announcements of the 2026 US Coffee Championship season. First there was Kawa w Dobrych Alkoholach and Latte Art, then Roastery, then Brewers Cup, and finally Cup Tasters. It was both excruciating and exhilarating. And all this culminated when the main event was announced, i.e USA Barista Championship.
We finally know the date and place. The 2026 USA Barista Championships will take place in Denver, Colorado, in delayed June.
Denver is no stranger to hosting Coffee Championship events, having hosted USBC qualifying events in previous years, but in 2026, the Mile High City will host the national round of the competition for the first time.
Announced via InstagramUSBC 2026 will take place at Huckleberry OvensThe smoking room will last from June 187 to June 21 and will be attended by as many as 36 competitors from all over the country. As with other competitions, this year’s USBC will reserve spots for Finalists from previous years. However, unlike other competitions that only have six spots, the USBC will reserve as many as 12 for the 2024 and 2025 finalists, meaning the entire final six from each year will be waiting for them. The spots will be broadcast until March 31streetand if unclaimed, they will be made available for open registration.
