We are less than two months away USA Barista Championship takeover Huckleberry Ovens Headquartered in Denver, Colorado. And if you are a competitor, these will be the longest and shortest two months of your life. Two months to choose a coffee, a topic, build a routine and refine it. To assist, the United States Coffee Championship is hosting three different hands-on Barista Championship workshops, and the first one will be held this weekend in Olympia.
Announced on Tuesday via Instagram, Coffee Champs has started cooperation From the Court creating a comprehensive workshop for USBC players, judges and volunteers. Each event, open to the entire coffee community, gives competitors the opportunity to see USBC equipment and speak with current USBC head judges.
The workshop will include a full discussion of rules and regulations, tasting exercises for sensory evaluation, and a guide to technical evaluations. There will also be trial runs, including judges’ deliberations. Participants will also learn “in more detail how top-level competitions are organized, evaluated and conducted.”
A total of three workshops will be held throughout the country. The first one will take place next Saturday, May 2IIOn Olimpia Coffeelocation in the city center. The next event will take place next Saturday at Onyks Coffee Laboratory”Rogers, Arkansas headquarters. Both operate from 10:00 to 18:00 local time. The last workshop will take place on the east coast, the place and date have not been determined yet.
