Seasons of the sun. Seasons of the Witch. The seasonal cycle goes round and round. It’s that time again – that time that comes every year like the long summer nights every year. We’re talking about construction sites and the return of our feature series dedicated to modern cafes.
Applications for the Build-Outs of Coffee 2026 season are now open. This fiction series is an annual tradition at Sprudge, featuring modern cafes recently opened or under construction around the world. Over the past 17 years, thousands of coffee shops have participated in the series (take a look at the 2025 edition here), and inclusion has become something of a rite of passage for coffee entrepreneurs around the world.
The entries are there now openand the series will begin the last week of May, after Memorial Day weekend. Through September, we’ll be sharing modern compilations from around the world, featuring modern Sprudge cafes every week.
We are accepting construction applications for this year’s series modern cafes opening anytime in 2026. We are also accepting applications for cafes currently under construction and scheduled to open anytime in 2026. Applications are welcome from anywhere in the world, cities gigantic and miniature, mobile and stationary, and everything in between.
