Coffee machines are terrifying. Just look at them, with their screaming balmy metal, steaming vapor, and polished chrome tubes. Each of these strange little parts plays a role in shaping the perfectly squeezed shot. Espresso is as personal as it is technical, which means buying a home espresso machine is a nightmare. Everyone has different, but adamant opinions, and the machines themselves are usually pricey.
