Our experts found the Miele coffee and espresso machine uncomplicated to set up and utilize. It has three bean containers, unlike most machines that only have one, so it can store gloomy roast, lightweight roast and decaffeinated coffee. — great if you have household members with different coffee tastes. Coffee lovers will also appreciate the multiple containers to customize your favorite beans for different drinks, such as using one type of bean for espresso and another for cafe au lait.
It has 22 preset drink settings, from a basic coffee to a flat white and more. We tested the espresso, cappuccino and latte settings. The espresso crema was thicker but tasty, the latte had a nice balance of milk and espresso, and our tasters said the cappuccino had great flavor.
It also has different brewing times and temperatures for different teas such as white, green, herbal and more. It is capable of making two drinks at once and you can program up to 10 user profiles to adjust individual preferences.
You won’t have to refill the water tank as often, as the machine has a 74-ounce water tank capacity, one of the largest we’ve tested. We like that the machine automatically cleans itself during the rinse cycle and has a gigantic drip tray to catch water. However, this means emptying the drip tray more often. We found that if we waited too long to empty the tray, excess water would easily spill out.
