Fairwave questions Anodyne unanimous voting in favor of relationships

Almost two years ago until the day, Fairwave Special Coffee Collective then purchased Anodyne Coffee Co. Kansas City, based on private whim, coffee conglomerate It now offers 12 brands, including recently Black & White Coffee Roasters in Raleigh, North Carolina.

In April, yesR, employees at Soothing I decided to join Milwaukee Area Service and Hospitality Workers Union (Mash) and asked for fairwave voluntarily to recognize the relationship they refused.

Now two unanimous trade union support shows later, and Fairwave questions the results, claiming that “non -eligible employees voted in elections, encouraged trade union efforts, and his employees were” intimidated “.

As reported by Milwaukee’s WUWMVoting in the election to the National Council for Labor Relations took place at the beginning of this month, and Anodyne employees voted 37–0 in favor of union. According to Peter Rickman, voting appears after all 50 out of 50 authorized employees Anodyne signed the Union membership cards.

The reasons why employees gave, wanting to join the union, are the transfer of the production of a chilly infusion to Kansas City, a reduction in remuneration rates for up-to-date employees, completing the managerial position outside and lack of contribution to making decisions.

After voting on June 4 with NLRB, Fairwave submitted a request to annul the results, stating that five “statutory supervisors” encouraged the relationship and questioned the ability of employees of these employees. ”

In response to the claim, MASH MASH Matt Bruenig, ominent, states: “I am fully straightforward with you when I say that I will not come up with what they are talking about yet.” He also undermines the allegation against statutory supervisors, noting that in order to be considered such, they would “be able to unilaterally perform specific actions, such as employment, shooting or promoting employees.” Bruenig calls the challenge of stalls.

According to WUWM, Fairwave did not answer requests for comment, and also refused to apply for a conversation before the election.

Next week, a hearing in NLRB is planned, which will decide whether the results are or whether a up-to-date voice is necessary.
