Imaginative Coffee Week is coming to Durban in South Africa

It is balmy outside, but the summer coffee calendar becomes even warmer. And although South Africa may not experience the same type of heat, thanks to the fact that all this coffee calendar is balmy. That’s all thanks Creative Coffee Weekwhich at the end of this month in Durban begins his trip to South Africa Two days of expansive coffee programming.

It takes place on July 30 and 31, the event in Durban will be the first in 2025 and will gather educational opportunities and making contacts for business owners, couples, barists and consumers. It spreads over two days with clear programming for each of them. The first day is based more educational. Starting the situation in the Acacia House, BPPy will appear, containing coffee from Cup of Excellence, unusual origins, the best in Colombia and green coffee supply, as well as a study of mixing coffee and sensory analysis. There are many planned conversations, including questions and answers with the world barista champion Mikael Jasin, presentation of the Cup of Perfection by the chief judge Stephen Vick, panel discussions about the takeover of SCA certificate, as well as a handful of conversations oriented on origin. Even one of the coffee growing in South Africa.

From there, the event goes to breakable sessions, which focus more on specific parts of the industry, in particular competitive barists, especially coffee evaluators.

Fun on Thursday, with coffee party at 7:00 in Humble Coffee and Colombian pop-up Cafe and a mini-Origin trip to the southern coast. There is also an optional Omakase coffee service with Mikael Jasin, which joins the forces with the chef of the Roman Year from South Africa Joannes Richter to create a “multi-consumer journey in which precision, passion and pure skirts combine on every plate-and in every cup.”

But Durban is only the first of the innovative stops for a week of coffee. Events in Cape Town and Johannesburg are scheduled for September and December, respectively.

Tickets for innovative events of Durban coffee start from R 700 (40 USD), with the option of adding a mini-Origin trip to the next r 450 and Omakase Experience for R 3000 (during their last).
