Coffee for a Cause: Novel Friends Blend from Sisters Coffee Company

We love good coffee here at Sprudge, that’s obvious. But what we really love is good coffee that does good. The kind of coffee you’d happily drink if there was no charitable element to it, but somehow the selflessness makes it taste that much sweeter.

And that’s exactly what it is Sisters Coffee Company serves with their brand fresh Friends Blend. Proceeds from the brand’s latest offering, Sisters, Oregon-based, go to Friends of Portland Children AND Friends of Central Oregon Children.

Founded in 1993, Friends of the Children is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides at-risk youth with professional, full-time mentors starting in preschool, maintaining relationships with the children through high school. The ultimate goal, according to their website, is to “break the cycle of generational poverty.” However, to accomplish this mission, funding is needed.

Enter Friends Blend. Launching tomorrow, July 26, for every 12-ounce container of Friends Blend, $1 will go to Friends of the Children Portland and Friends of the Children Central Oregon.

“This is an incredible opportunity to share our commitment to improving our communities with an organization that is literally changing the lives of youth in Central Oregon, Portland and across the country,” Sisters Coffee CEO Justin Durham said in a press release. “And sales of this unique blend of coffee not only assist support Friends of the Children, but it’s also just great coffee that will put a smile on many faces.”

Bags of Sisters Coffee Company’s Friends Blend benefiting Friends of the Children Portland and Friends of the Children Central Oregon will be available for purchase online and in person at three Sisters coffee shops in Sisters, Bend and Portland. For more information, visit Sisters Coffee Company’s website official website.
