SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Drive-thru coffee chain Dutch Bros. continues its expansion in northern San Diego County, opening a novel location in Escondido this fall.
Dutch Bros. announced Tuesday it plans to open its second Escondido location at 507 W Washington Ave. in overdue summer or early fall 2024. The first Escondido location opened last year.
The popular drive-thru coffee chain recently planted roots in San Diego County and is continuing to expand. The company said in December that a novel location would open in Vista in early 2024, but there’s no word yet on when exactly that will be. The novel location, which will be at 2665 S Melrose Dr. in Vista, is still listed on Dutch Bros Website as “opening soon”.
Dutch Bros Coffee is a chain of drive-thru only coffee shops that started in Oregon in the early 1990s. There is no seating inside, only a drive-thru and a walk-up style store.
The menu includes, among others, specialty coffee, classic coffee drinks, cocktails, it freezes, tea, tea, hot chocolate, corporate energy drinks, cold brew coffee with added nitrogen, Flavoured lemonadesand even carbonated drinks with the addition of flavors of your choice. They also have seasonal drinks. Throughout April you can catch Poppin’ Bob drink.
In San Diego County, Dutch Bros. restaurants can be found in Oceanside at 1700 Oceanside Blvd. and in Escondido at 2365 E Valley Pkwy., with novel locations planned to open this year in Vista and Escondido.
A company spokesperson confirmed last year to FOX 5/KUSI that it plans to open a novel location in Chula Vista.
