VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Drive-thru coffee chain Dutch Bros Coffee continues its expansion in San Diego County, opening a fresh location in North County on Friday.
The first Dutch Bros Coffee in Vista officially opened its doors to the public on Friday, July 12th at 7pm. 2665 S Melrose Drive.
The coffee chain is relatively fresh to San Diego County, with its first two locations opening in 2022 in Oceanside (1700 Oceanside Blvd.) and Escondido (2365 E Valley Pkwy.).
The fresh Vista location is just one of several locations planned for the county. A company spokesperson told FOX 5/KUSI in December 2023 that the fresh Vista location would open in early 2024, with additional locations in Chula Vista and Escondido planned in the early stages.
This Dutch Bros Website shows fresh “opening soon” locations in El Cajon, Escondido, as well as another location in Vista.
The fresh location on Melrose Drive in Vista is also currently hiring.
Dutch Bros Coffee is a chain of drive-thru coffee shops that started in Oregon in the early 1990s. They offer a variety of beverage options, primarily aimed at Generation Z, including specialty coffees, smoothies, teas, frozen drinks, lemonades, upscale
Dutch Bros Rebel energy drinks and Nitro Frosty Brew coffee.
The Vista location will be open on the following days and hours:
- Sunday – Thursday, 5am – 10pm
- Friday and Saturday, 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Recent for summer, on July 1st Dutch Bros released fresh drinks with a 90s vibe. Frozen cookie dough, Rebel Sherbet AND Tropical Frozen Lemonade are now available in all Dutch Bros. stores.
