I tried Dunkin’ Spiked iced coffee and tea to find my favorite flavor

The modern Dunkin’ Spiked offering comes in two flavors — Iced coffee and iced tea — in four different flavors. The Dunkin’ Spiked Iced Coffees come in Original, Caramel, Mocha, and Vanilla flavors, while the Iced Teas include Slightly Sweet Iced Tea, Half & Half Iced Tea, Strawberry Dragonfruit Iced Tea Refresher, and Mango Pineapple Iced Tea Refresher. I was sent all eight of the alcoholic cans to try, but unfortunately the Original Iced Coffee can in my package exploded on its way to me. While I didn’t get to try this one, after tasting the rest, I think it was a blessing in disguise. For me, there’s a clear winner when it comes to Dunkin’ Spiked Iced Coffees vs. Iced Teas, and I think you can guess which one was my favorite.

Dunkin’ Spiked Iced Coffees Review

Dunkin’

As an espresso martini fan who loves an iced latte in the morning, I really wanted to enjoy the Dunkin’ Spiked Iced Coffees. However, I felt the alcohol was a little too intense and stood out against the coffee flavor instead of working with it. The first one I tried was the Dunkin’ Spiked Caramel Iced Coffee, which was described as having a “lively and glossy” taste. While I can see the liveliness, it wasn’t as glossy as I expected, and after the initial alcoholic taste, I only tasted hints of caramel in the aftertaste. If you’re looking for a caffeine boost before a night out with the girls, this drink will wake you up in no time.

I wasn’t a fan of the caramel, but I thought the Dunkin’ Spiked Mocha Iced Coffee and the Dunkin’ Spiked Vanilla Iced Coffee were better. The vanilla was my favorite of the three because it was much more subtle. Overall, I wish the coffee flavors were stronger in these drinks because that’s what Dunkin’ specializes in. Instead of being the main character, the coffee seemed like a guest star of the alcohol.

Dunkin’ Spiked Iced Teas Review

Dunkin’

Dunkin’ Spiked Ice Teas were more to my taste. Powerful tea is nothing modern, though, so it makes sense that these flavors were easier to digest. The Dunkin’ Spiked Slightly Sweet Iced Tea, which is made with black tea and lemon flavoring, was my favorite and most refreshing of the bunch. I would definitely take a pack to an outdoor picnic with friends.

Dunkin’ Spiked Half & Half Iced Tea is great if you’re a fan of Arnold Palmer or are looking for a lemon flavor. It’s more tart than the Slightly Sweet Iced Tea, so it’s robust but still refreshing. The next two flavors I reviewed are inspired by the Iced Tea Refreshers at Dunkin’ and are perfect for summer sipping while lounging by the pool on a heated day. I liked the Dunkin’ Spiked Strawberry Dragonfruit Iced Tea a little more than the Dunkin’ Spiked Mango Pineapple Iced Tea Refresher because the strawberry flavor was pleasant and not too artificial. It works well mixed with ice for a homemade strawberry daiquiri. I think the mango and pineapple flavors could also be used to make a tropical cocktail, like a Dole Whip-inspired drink. Of course, these boozy green tea drinks are fine on their own if you’re planning a backyard get-together with your besties or a summer rooftop cheerful hour.

Dunkin’ Spiked Iced Teas are now available in grocery stores in Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, Fresh Hampshire, Fresh Jersey, Fresh York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, and Vermont. Then, starting in early September, Iced Coffees will hit shelves, so you can take them to all your tailgating parties.
