Is there any history or meaning behind the name of the drink?
Yes! He comes from the classic song from the 90s Brooks and Dunn will call Boogie Bootin ‘Boogie. We thought it was super amusing and perfectly match the drink inspired by root beer.
What inspired the creation of this drink?
We knew that we wanted to create a characteristic Latte drink that was very unique, amusing and nostalgic. Inspiration for root beer was an inspiration for a drink and it is definitely a nostalgic summer feast. We have never seen anything similar with coffee and root beer before and it seemed wild enough to try! It turns out that they are a super solid combination and we are excited about how the drink appeared.
Who created this? Individual? Team effort?
Definitely the band’s effort. The idea actually came to me and one of our store managers, Pat separately. We both said Addison Mathis, our QA manager. They managed to run with him and create a recipe for him and drink compilation. It’s always nice to collect ideas from our team and see how it turns into a well -made drink that we can share with our guests.
Are there any unique or local ingredients in this drink?
We create all our syrups anywhere anywhere. The shot syrup definitely fastens a blow and withstands milk/oat milk very well.
How did you work to balance the flavors and create the perfect taste profile?
We have a recipe for basic syrup and several guidelines, to which we try to stick to when creating recent drinks. This allows some consistency in operations and compilations, as well as a standard of balance and intensity of beverages from object to object. To be forthright, the starting point helps, but there are still a few sips and high caffeine sorting days, through which the iteration performs the cut. This is usually a very amusing day for us to finalize the rules and surnames.
What type of coffee is used in this drink?
For this drink we exploit our “gentle” espresso, which is the legend of Brazil. This is the basis in all our stores with drop and espresso. It is really silky, nutty and chocolate and is very well suited to create a super full and wealthy drink with root beer. It is strong enough to keep flavors and milk, but adds an additional depth.
Does this drink work both scorching and frozen? Did it affect the recipe?
Despite what people can think with the inspiration of piquant beer … it is amazing both scorching and frozen. It is definitely more popular as a frozen drink. Summer in the south is not a joke. However, we have several people in a team who prefer a scorching version and claim that it tastes like candy with root beer. So whatever you feel, he still hits all nostalgic vibrations regardless of the temperature.
Would you recommend any pairs of food to connect to it?
Definitely our breakfast Crunchwrap! It has brown, egg, cheese, homemade percsauce wrapped in grilled tortilla. It is super tasty and filling. This is our most popular food product, and also fits a drink inspired by a drink very well.
What do people say about it?
People are either on it as soon as they see the description as hefty lovers of root beer, or simply very surprised and intrigued by a combination of root beer and coffee. We love to introduce people to something wild, which they would not normally think to try. Most people have been very excited about this, and in the last few years they become a seasonal basis.
