Mahlkönig enters the home coffee machine market with the fresh Xenia

to Mahlkön is taking steps to enter the domestic market, in particular with the very good, universal X54 grinder (which really shines in espresso). And now the renowned grinder manufacturer is making an ambitious leap into the world of home coffee machines with a completely fresh solution Mahlkönig Xenia.

The groundwork for their first coffee machine was laid earlier this year when Mahlkönig’s parent company, Hemro Group, acquired German coffee machine manufacturer Xenia. Debuted last week at Host Milan, the single-group machine features a dual-boiler system, pressure profiling, flow and temperature control, integrated scale, and Grind-by-Sync integration capabilities. The steam wand is capable of generating “pressures of up to 1.8 bar, which is 50% more than most home machines.”

With the Xenia, Mahlkönig announced its next home espresso grinder, the E64 WS Home, “which connects directly to the espresso machine and makes Mahlkönig’s industry-leading Grind-by-Sync and Grind-by-Weight technology available to home baristas for the first time.”

Mahlkönig Xenia is expected to be released by the end of the year. Pricing has not yet been announced, but before the acquisition, Xenia espresso machines cost between $2,500 and $3,000.
