Espresso and sweet drinks will come to Valley Center
This is a story about manifesting your desires. Plus: coffee.
Once upon a time, a husband and wife in Colorado dreamed of having a cold coffee shop in their town where people could meet, connect and hang out. So they built it.
They opened Ziggi coffee in Longmont, about 40 miles north of Denver, in 2004.
Twenty years later, Ziggi’s is a national franchise with more than 90 locations. The newest opened Tuesday in Valley Center.
The beverage menu is extensive, with standards – cappuccinos, frigid brew and steamers – as well as company inventions. These include “Fresherz”, which are fruit drinks with Melon Berry Tide and Citrus Sunburst flavors, “Blenders”, which are a mix of espresso and chai dessert drinks, cocktails and teas.
Ziggi’s also sells 11 signature drinks. One, the Colorado Mocha, features toasted coconut, almond and espresso.
Breakfast and lunch foods seem to be designed to be eaten in hand, on the go: burritos, breakfast sandwiches, paninis and pastries. Some options are described as gluten-free.
The franchise operator of the up-to-date cafe is San Pasqual Tribe.
“We look forward to partnering with Ziggi’s Coffee as our newest economic development business venture and are pleased to be the first tribe to welcome them to Indian Country,” said Michael Contreras, president and CEO of the San Pasqual Economic Development Corporation. press release. “The people of Kumeyaay are excited to have a up-to-date franchise on the San Pasqual Reservation.”
The approximately 650-square-foot cafe is open at 31269 Valley Center Road. This is the second Ziggi in California. The second one is located near Los Angeles.
While this is the first tribal partnership for Ziggi, it is not the first for the tribe. The San Pasqual Tribe also operates the Horizon Fuel Center and would like to make this operation available to other tribes
“I believe that by working together, we could start intertribal trade,” Hellyaachwehay Quisquis, former president and CEO of the San Pasqual Economic Development Corporation, told Tribal Business News in early 2023. “We could partner with other tribes and bridge this trade between us.”

San Diego area McDonald’s They start their summer promotion on Tuesday. For a constrained time, some combo meals are priced at $5 or $6. Tropical cookies and drinks on a busy stretch of Midway
A up-to-date place for a so-called feast CoCo Beach on Kurtz Street near Midway Drive, near the interchange with Interstate 8, has two focuses – cookies and sugary drinks. Currently on offer: eight cookie options, including “Blue Playa” (in featherlight blue), Nutella Bueno (a combination of Nutella hazelnut cream and a crunchy, creamy chocolate candy coating) and lemon curd. Drinks include lattes and a long list of sweet, milky and caffeinated concoctions served over ice.
The job offer shows what kind of employees it intends to employ and what problems clients may encounter: “A human person. Hospitality is the key, our customers are our lighthouse. You are not afraid to talk to others. You will meet up-to-date people every day, and knowing how to engage in a positive way is No. 1.”
This is one of several restaurants opening this month.
