Someone who loves coffee should buy a David Lynch espresso machine

At the beginning of the year, David Lynch, a single voice on television and film, died at the age of 78. During four decades of writing and directed by Lynch, he brought art from outside to the mainstream and was known for being a weirdo, as for total honesty with whom he got involved in his more strange ideas. And when we praised shortly after his death, Lynch was a coffee fanatic.

Coffee was a habitual star in his work. From “damn good coffee” to espress perfection, coffee was more than a prop, it was part of history. And now you can take home part of this iconic part of Lynchian Lore. David Lynch estate at auction of many of his effects, including his personal coffee equipment.

The auction is conducted by JulienCalifornia auction houses focusing on television, music and film souvenirs. It takes place on June 18 in Los Angeles, the auction includes unfinished scripts, cameras and filming equipment, musical instruments, souvenirs from his various films and television programs, and of course his coffee equipment.

For example, you can bid “Coffee cups with double peaks“, Including Really amazing pads lady ceramics. Or maybe you want to get a record of most money spent on Mr. Coffee Coffeeakercurrently sitting after USD 800.

But the real stars of the auction, at least for coffee, are the Espresso machine of David Lynch. This covers his personal Marzocco gs/3who, according to the auction, was “used by Lynch every day, because he really loved his coffee!” He is accompanied by a separate auction Mazzer mini Espresso grinder. Perhaps the most strange part of the auction is that both of these items are not only relatively inexpensive, considering their origin, but objectively. Offers at GS/3 and Mazzer Mini currently amount to 2,250 USD and $ 1000, respectively.

The fact that the Bali Lady cup currently costs 700 USD, but the home espresso machine is less than four times, which is beyond strange, I dare, I say, a lynchian.

Does having a David Lynch espresso machine make you a better, more intriguing writer? It is not clear, but I can say that I would personally pay $ 3,000 to write even one line as good as “repair my hearts or die.” Getting a dream home espresso starting machine is simply money from home.
