The World Barista version of Championships Starbucks takes place this week

Last year, we informed that Starbucks would host their own version of World Barista Championship, which is called Starbucks Global Barista Championship. St Starbucks Global Barista Master.

Starting today, from Monday, June 9 to Wednesday, June 11 during the Starbucks leadership conference, six Barista champions of cafes and six champions Barista Barista representing North America, China, Japan, Asia and Pacific, Latin America and Caribbean and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) will test their skills in various “skills and knowledge”. According to the website, the event will focus on telling craftsmanship, connection and coffee or “as a barista tells the story of Starbucks Coffee.” Expect a lot – a feal for Merma is part of each routine in the Starbucks Global Barista championships. The competition also includes “blind coffee tastings, latte art and creating a characteristic drink.”

All 12 competitors will take part in the 9 and 10 semi -finals and will be judged by Starbucks Coffee Masters and members of coffee and programming quality teams. Only four will go to the finals of 11, where the winner will be announced “over 14,000 partners (employees) from the United States and Canada” who will be present.

It is not clear what the winner of Global Barista Championship Starbucks will receive. North American Barista Master, Darcy Todd from Arlington in Texas, He won the trip to Hacienda AlsaciaCosta Rican Research and Development of the company. (Todd competes in the global barista championships and according to LinkdinNow he works at the Texas Coffee School.) Whatever it is, is probably better than a body switch with Howard Schultz, in which you can live for one day as an unwasured billionaire with frustrated ambitious political ambitious and several tons of olive oil.

If you really need a coffee competition to survive you to the Barista World Championships in October, you can watch the Starbucks Global Barista Championship live from 9 to 11 June, by Starbucks YouTube channel.
