The 2025 United States Coffee Championships season has officially begun. Competition began in Houston on the first weekend of November with the regional qualifiers for the USA Roasters Championship, followed shortly thereafter by the Latte Art Regional Championship in Lincoln, Nebraska, November 8-10. (You’d be forgiven for not being completely locked in yet due to some other major news events.)

But now, regionals have picked up steam this past weekend in Raleigh, North Carolina, with not one, but two competitions. Guest at Black and white coffee roasteries Both the Barista Championship and the Brewers Cup hosted their first regional rounds of the 2025 season at the headquarters, sending 18 coffee professionals – 12 in Barista and 6 in Brewers – to the national stage, joining 15 competitors from Roasters and Latte Art who they have already validated the tickets.
