Coffee, here: Morgan Eckroth’s fresh book is now available for pre-order

Morgan Eckroth is a coffee professional who needs no introduction and is probably one of the few who is as eminent outside the industry as within it. The 2022 World Barista Championship runner-up has amassed nearly nine million followers across Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, mostly from outside the industry, thanks to its encouraging – and often educational – approach to all things coffee. In addition to all of his many achievements, including a recent Sprudgie Award for best coffee writing, Eckroth may soon add to the list of published authors. This is due to the recently announced which is now available for pre-order.

We’re huge fans of coffee books here at Sprudge, and over the years we’ve highlighted works by authors such as 3fe’s Colin Harmon, Phyllis Johnson, Jessica Easto, Umeko Motoyoshi, Coffee Collective’s Klaus Thomsen, and, of course, James Hoffmann. We’re joyful to see Eckroth making a difference in providing its own, accessible content to the site.

According to the report, Clarkson Potter is “both a practical handbook and a guide to building real coffee-making skills at home, designed to lend a hand you brew with confidence and curiosity.” In the book’s 240 pages, Eckroth offers something for coffee enthusiasts of all skill levels. From the basics of coffee’s journey from seed to cup – including where it comes from and how coffee is grown, roasted, and tasted – to instructions on the most popular pour-over methods and espresso basics, the book includes instructions, illustrations, and even QR codes leading to video tutorials.

From there, Eckroth draws on his expansive knowledge of drink construction to create 40 café-style drink recipes for users to experiment with. From the classic espresso tonic to more adventurous concoctions such as Limoncello with papaya puree, lime juice, rose water and espresso.

scheduled for October 20vol release date, but pre-sale has already started. Retailing for $28 for hardcover and $15 for ebook, pre-orders can be placed through Eckroth’s website.

There are two things in this world that you can never have enough of. Coffee, of course, and books. More information can be found on Morgan Eckroth’s website official website.
