3 Best Cool Brew Coffee Machines in 2024

You don’t have to go to a coffee shop to get a great cup of frigid brew. We found the OXO Good Grips Cool Brew Coffee Maker to be the best vessel for making silky, delicious iced coffee at home.

This model makes frigid brew coffee with balanced acidity, a stronger aroma, and a cleaner finish than the coffees from 20 other coffee makers we tested. The OXO Good Grips coffee maker is also the easiest to exploit and tidy.

Our choice

This frigid brew coffee maker produced the strongest, most potent brew of all the models we tested. It is also easier to install and exploit than the competition.

Compared to other frigid brew coffee makers, the OXO Good Grips frigid brew coffee maker produces a more consistent, flavorful cup of coffee, likely due to the metal mesh filter. It’s easier to set up and tidy than other brewers we’ve tested, and allows for thorough emptying with the flip of a switch.

It also looks elegant, with an attractive (if fragile) glass jug. And since this is a countertop appliance, looks matter.

Like all of our picks, this machine produces a coffee concentrate that needs to be diluted with water or milk. We found that about 2 ounces of concentrate from each of our picks was enough for a full glass of frigid brew. So a full batch of 24-28 ounces of concentrate from this model will yield about 12-14 servings of coffee.

Runner-up

This well-built brewer makes milder coffee than OXO Good Grips. However, many of its parts can be challenging to assemble and store.

If you can’t choose our top pick, the Filtron Cool Water Coffee Concentrate Maker is a solid option. It’s larger (yields about 32 ounces of concentrate) and almost as straightforward to exploit. And it produces coffee that is tasty, but not as forceful as OXO brew.

The set also includes a elevated plastic jug, which is more sturdy than OXO glass jugs, although it may be more challenging to place in the refrigerator.

However, the Filtron felt filter may become moldy if you store it incorrectly. The black plastic infuser doesn’t look very impressive, and emptying it on the carafe is a bit risky. The drain hole is also sealed with a uncomplicated rubber plug, which is messy to remove and slightly more prone to leaking than the seal on OXO brewers.

Also great

This compact coffee maker is best for people with restricted storage space or those who want to brew smaller batches.

The OXO Compact Cool Brew Coffee Maker is a smaller version of our top pick OXO, yielding about 16 ounces of concentrate and just as straightforward to exploit. The coffee tastes stronger and less balanced, but you can always dilute the brew to your liking.

This coffee maker takes up less countertop space than our other picks. And it packs up in a neat, self-contained storage case, so it’s a better choice for smaller kitchens.
