The dog days are here, and that means the Build-Outs of Coffee series is in full swing. One of our favorite things to cover are the compact but mighty coffee shops, the mobile shops that take creativity to novel heights to deliver great coffee wherever they go. We’ve seen coffee carts, horse trailers, and even motorcycle trailers.

And thanks to the novel collaboration, a bicycle café has been created. The Marzoco started cooperation with Specialist For a unique mobile espresso system on the back of the bike (well, technically, two).

La Marzocco and Specialized are no newcomers to collaborations. The two brands previously worked together to create a custom Linea Mini and Diverge bike as part of the Grind for Good campaign. But that was more of a cosmetic thing. This time, the two brands have merged into one mobile café.

Designed and built in the Officine Fratelli Bambi workshop, the novel mobile coffee kit combines Specialized’s Turbo Porto cargo e-bike with La Marzocco’s latest and greatest small-footprint espresso equipment: the Linea Micra and Pico grinder. “This mobile coffee kit offers an unparalleled espresso experience, bringing the coffee shop to the streets in an environmentally warm way,” La Marzocco states in a press release.

Visitors to World of Coffee in Copenhagen have already had the opportunity to see the novel mobile café as part of La Marzocco’s Out of the Box event. Where the e-bike café will appear next, who knows. That depends on La Marzocco and the freedom of the wind in your hair. For more information, visit La Marzocco’s website official website.
