San Diego County Coffee Shops: Valley Center Ziggi’s

Ziggi’s Cafe is coming to Valley Center.

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) – A specialty coffee concept is expanding its presence in California, with a recent store opening in San Diego County in the coming week.

Ziggi’s Coffee, a Colorado-born brand, will debut in Valley Center on Tuesday, June 25, the second location in the Golden State. The second store operates in the Los Angeles-Hawthorne metropolitan area.

A spokesperson for the store announced that San Diegans will soon be able to sip on “exceptionally handcrafted beverages and a wide variety of foods and treats.”

Originally founded by husband and wife Brandon and Camrin Knudsen about 20 years ago, the couple’s goal with Ziggi’s Coffee was to “create a space where people could gather and feel at home.”

As for the recent Valley Center location, it is company-owned San Pasqual Economic Development Corporationan organization authorized to conduct economic development and sustainable development activities on behalf of the San Pasqual Tribal Government and its members.

“We are excited to open our first Ziggi’s Coffee location in the San Pasqual Tribe,” said Brandon, who is also the coffee brand’s CEO. “We look forward to bringing our exceptionally positive customer experiences and diverse menus to the area, supporting the tribe’s economic development and serving the residents of Valley Center.”

The store will be located at the Horizon Fuel Center. The 642-square-foot space will feature a drive-thru design to meet the needs of on-the-go customers.

The menu will include specialty coffees, chai and teas, energy infusions, smoothies, Italian sodas, boba and more. Ziggi’s Coffee will also serve a variety of food items such as breakfast sandwiches, burritos and paninis, as well as baked goods such as breads, cinnamon rolls, bagels, cookies and cake pops.

Ziggi’s Coffee located at 31269 Valley Center Rd. will be open from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
