Coffee project: Heartwood of Northeast Ohio coffee

We are huge fans of the up-to-date packaging project from our friends Heart coffee carriages in the north -eastern Ohio. The company joined forces with a local graphics agency to create a brand identity and a package that can really stand out and match the Heartwood vision.

We talked to the owner James Sanders to learn more.

What was the inspiration of this project?

We liked the idea of a up-to-date warehouse climate that could employ colors and labels to distinguish all our offers. It was also crucial to have a recycling bag, which also protected coffee and was uncomplicated for customers.

Who designed it?

Secret Creative At the acron in Ohio, it has done a design work! They are real professionals and great friends working for some of the largest companies in Cleveland, Akron and the USA.

From the first vision to the final product, how long did the design process last?

The project lasted about 10 months from conception to the product in hand.

Tell us about your favorite details of the project.

I love three different colorful bags with bold roasts of heart coffee at the front of each of them.

How does the package design reflect the general brand and company news?

We want to be an accessible local brand that provides a vast corporation at the level. We do not want customers to compromise in terms of quality or services just because we are a tiny local company. The design of bags also helps our baristas indicate the customer of the type of coffee they like and makes it easier for them to find them next time.

Are there key elements of the packaging to educate the consumer?

We have more information about these bags than ever before. After our first journey of origin to Colombia, it became extremely crucial for us to recognize the farmer, processing and importer on every bag. Notes from processing and taste were taken into account to lend a hand the customer make a good choice.

Is any of the packaging materials recycling or compost?

All materials are subject to industrial recycling, we collect home bags and send them for proper recycling.

Where can you buy?

Each of our three cafes in Hudson, Chagrin Falls or Orange, Oh or online.

Check their official website and give them observing @heartwoodcoffee Instagram.
