SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – A cup of coffee with a vibe is uncomplicated to find in the Bay Area. In fact, the most popular independent coffee shop is in San Francisco.
Sightglass Coffee is the best independent coffee shop in the United States, according to Betway’s study. The San Francisco-based coffee shop has three locations in the Golden City—one in the Mission District, another at Divisadero and Page streets, and its flagship coffee shop is in the South of Market District. The coffee shop also has a coffee shop in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Sycamore District.

The flagship store features a production roastery and an open cafe. The Sightglass Coffee website describes the flagship store as an “immersive coffee experience.”
There are over 300,000 searches for Sightglass Coffee every year around the world. times, and her TikTok account has been viewed almost 200,000 times. times.
Surprisingly, no establishments from Seattle or Portland, Oregon, made the list. However, Recent York and San Diego each had two independent coffee shops that made the list.
Coffee shops No. 4 and No. 5 are in Recent York City — Felix Roasting Co. and Devoción Coffee, which have over 1.4 million views on TikTok. San Diego-based Mostra Coffee announced that the company was named 2020 Roaster of the Year. Communal Coffee is also based in San Diego with multiple locations and even offers a coffee subscription.
Methodology
Betway analysed TikTok views, Instagram hashtags and Google search volumes for over 300 independent coffee shops worldwide to find the most popular independent coffee shops in the US and worldwide.
