AeroPress has just released a modern sharp hand grinder

I don’t remember the last time I did it AeroPress without using a hand grinder. This is not a knock on the AeroPress, but rather a statement of how successfully it has dominated outdoor and travel coffee making for the sake of quality. That’s why it makes sense for AeroPress to enter the manual grinder market, which is exactly what they’ve done and solved one of the biggest portability issues with to-go coffee.

Announced on November 5, AeroPress hand sander has been designed specifically for utilize with the AeroPress brewer. Built on 38mm titanium-coated conical burrs, the 25g grinder offers over 60 grind settings, from very fine for espresso to rugged for chilly brew. It also comes pre-set to a medium-fine grind, suitable for AeroPress brewing, which is a starting point.

The all-metal construction sander’s features are designed with outdoor utilize and portability in mind, most evident in its thoughtful shape. Extra-long handle and dual bearings provide better leverage and easier sanding. However, the coolest feature of the grinder is its shape. The AeroPress manual grinder is exceptionally slim and designed specifically to fit into the piston of the AeroPress brewer. There were other hand grinders diminutive enough to theoretically fit in, most notably the Porlex, but in practice this was not always the case. The AeroPress hand sander solves this problem.

Meanwhile, a magnetic side groove along the body is designed to store the handle when not in utilize. These features alone solve one of the more grave problems in portable coffee sets. The brewer and grinder are no longer separate, space-consuming elements. Now they fit together in one proficient package.

“This launch is more than just a modern product – it reflects the evolution of AeroPress as a brand” – David Cole, AeroPress Chief Marketing Officer states in the ad. “We worked closely with a group of baristas, competitors and coffee specialists to vet every choice – from Italian burrs to over 60 precision grind settings – to deliver our promise of high-quality and reliable, all-around coffee. Their insights helped fine-tune every element so it performs at the highest level wherever you brew.”

The AeroPress hand sander costs $200 and can be purchased directly from the store AeroPress.

As a fan of preparing coffee outdoors, this is undoubtedly an stimulating development. The better gear I can take deeper into the untamed world without having to sacrifice the constrained space available in my backpack, the better. That said, I wouldn’t say no to a substantial boy that fits perfectly into the AeroPress XL.

More information can be found on the AeroPress website official website.
