La Marzocco and Joshua McFadden are teaming up for a series of Espresso and Carbonara brunches

If there are two things Italy is known for, it is espresso and pasta.

Espresso and pasta are true Italian gifts to the world and form the basis of the up-to-date series of events from La Marzoco. Cooperation with a renowned cookbook author Joshua McFaddenLa Marzocco hosts four Brunch with espresso and carbonara throughout December to celebrate McFadden’s favorite couple.

Best known for his James Beard Award-winning cookbook, McFadden will soon release his third book, As the story goes, while working on a up-to-date cookbook, McFadden was filling up shots of espresso from his Linea Mini, which he discovered paired strangely well with decadent carbonara; he even went so far as to call it his favorite brunch.

This is how the idea of ​​the Espresso & Carbonara brunch was born. With stops in Portland, Minneapolis, Madison and Milkwaukee, in an interview with La Marzocco McFadden describes the brunch series as “nothing fussy [or] thoughtful. Just good pasta, good espresso and good people. He also describes it as part of his plan to make carbonara a breakfast item. Do with this information what you want.

For events at each location, special espresso and carbonara pairings will be available on the menu as well as available for purchase, and McFadden will be on hand to sign autographs. The dates and places are as follows:

December 6: Portland, OR – Buddy (in cooperation with Coava coffee)
December 14: Minneapolis, Minnesota – Lynette
December 20: Madison, Wisconsin – Just like Mark (with possible additional service on December 21st if the first one sells out)
December 22: Milwaukee, Wisconsin – Uncle Wolfie’s Breakfast Tavern
