Exploring the future of coffee in Ghana through Sprudge’s special projects

“No visit to Ghana is complete without trying the Labadi Iced Latte. Named after the seaside district in Accra, it is a popular mixed drink of espresso with Jamestown Coffee Companyprepared with fresh Ghanaian coffee, sweetened milk, chocolate syrup and ice. In this drink we see the bigger picture of coffee in Ghana, a country much better known for producing chocolate than for growing coffee. However, in recent years, cocoa harvests have declined due to climate change. And now A a revolution is coming where Ghanaian farmers are supplementing cocoa by growing more and more coffee each year, with promising results.”

Journalist Daniel Muraga, up-to-date to Sprudge Special Projects, takes us inside an thrilling up-to-date series of developments in the Ghanaian coffee industry. Coffees from this country are sporadic, but this is changing – and quickly – as the company’s staff grows, including: Asili Coffee Suppliers, Coffee Roasters Coffee MokaAND Jamestown Coffee Companyare helping lead the up-to-date wave of coffee in Ghana.
